Code Vault Privacy Policy

Code Vault does not collect, track, sell, or share personal data. Snippets, notes, tags, and credentials remain under your control on your device unless you explicitly export a backup or enable iCloud Sync & Backup.

Local storage

Snippets are stored in the app container. Sensitive fields in key entries are encrypted before local persistence and backup export.

Quick Keyboard local sharing

If you turn on Quick Keyboard, Code Vault copies active code, prompt, and text snippets (never credential/key entries) into a local App Group snapshot on your device so its custom keyboard can search and insert them. iOS requires keyboard Full Access for this shared-container design. The keyboard implementation links no networking code and makes no network requests, collects no analytics, and tracks no one. Turning Quick Keyboard off deletes the local snapshot.

iCloud Sync & Backup

If you enable Pro iCloud Sync & Backup, snippets are stored in your private iCloud database and synchronized across devices signed in with the same Apple ID. Key content uses CloudKit encrypted field storage. Apple handles this iCloud transport; Code Vault does not operate a separate sync server, collect analytics, or track you.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple. We receive only transaction state needed to unlock Pro features; we do not receive your full payment details.

Portable backups

The desktop-compatible backup format uses portable encryption for cross-device compatibility; treat every exported backup as sensitive and store it in a protected location.
